Installation and Replacement of High Efficiency Natural Gas Furnaces

For assistance selecting the ideal furnace for your house, contact Seebacher Plumbing & Heating, your local specialists in Vancouver furnace installation. For the installation of your new high-efficiency natural gas furnace, we provide FREE on-site quotes. By switching to a high-efficiency furnace, you can both improve your level of comfort and save up to 37% on
your energy costs. The Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE), which is typically given in percentages, is used to gauge a furnace’s efficiency. Based on how they function and disperse heat throughout your house, furnaces are classified; for example, your furnace could be classified as:

Stability of Temperature Efficiency in Energy Use
One-Stage Furnace Poor 80% AFUE
Dual or Two Stage Furnace Good 96% AFUE
Modulating or Variable Furnace Excellent 98.2% AFUE

One-Stage Furnace

Either the gas flame is ON or it is off. The furnace produces a strong flow of warm air to heat the house only when the interior temperature drops. The thermostat resets the cycle and turns off the system when the temperature reaches the specified level.
Although they are the least expensive to buy, single stage furnaces are the least energy efficient equipment.

Dual- or Two-Stage Furnaces

The flame in this kind of furnace is always “on/high,” “on/low,” or “off”. The addition of this second flame significantly lowers the energy cost of the system. Furnaces with two stages are slightly more expensive and quieter.

Modulating or Variable Furnace

The coziest gas furnace available is this one. The temperature swings that single- and dual stage furnaces are known for, which cause some rooms to have hot patches where heat accumulates or cold spots where heat doesn’t endure between furnace cycles, would be avoided by a modulating furnace. Additionally, you won’t have to endure the chilly spells before the furnace turns back on. A modulating furnace works more silently and efficiently than other types of gas furnaces by automatically making minor, continuous adjustments to the temperature to provide you with comfortable, consistent temperatures throughout your house.
